From the domestic and international markets to the situation of polyureth

2019-07-29

Polyurethane (PU) was first developed in the 1930s by German scientists, who polycondensation of liquid isocyanate and liquid polyether or diol polyester into a new material. The physical properties of the material are different from those of polyolefin materials at that time, and the scientists named it PU. With the end of The Second World War, the chemical manufacturing industry in the United States flourished and synthesized polyurethane soft foam in the 1950s, which was a landmark study of the chemical industry at that time and provided a solid technical foundation for the future development of the polyurethane industry.

Global PU market

The global polyurethane market is mainly distributed in developed countries in Europe and America, and the Asia-Pacific region is mainly represented by China, Japan and South Korea. The above countries and regions account for 90% of the total global polyurethane market, among which China's total consumption of polyurethane accounts for half of the world's total. There are various kinds of polyurethane products in the world and they are applied in various fields. By the end of 2016, the global total production of polyurethane has reached about 22 million T. Domestic PU market

China's polyurethane industry is mainly concentrated in the Yangtze River Delta region. In recent years, with the continuous development of industrial manufacturing technology, the bohai Rim production area, the Pearl River Delta production area and the northwest manufacturing base with Yantai as the center are all booming. Under the pressure of domestic environmental protection, enterprises began to seek transformation, to create green, environmentally friendly polyurethane production process as the main direction of development, gradually eliminate backward production capacity. It is expected that in the next few years, China's polyurethane products will be mainly used in the field of construction, furniture and sports. By 2016, China's consumption of polyurethane has reached 11 million T, creating direct economic benefits of about 350 billion yuan for China.
